Our Rockin’ Rodeo!

Wow!  Wow!  Wow! 

What a fun morning we had!  (Or as I heard one boy say, “This was the coolest day in Kindergarten ever!”)

We have been practicing our Rodeo songs for a few weeks.  For the last three days, we practiced all of our events! 

The anticipation was almost too much for some of them, but they had a GREAT time!

We may not have won every event we participated in, but they did a fabulous job!

I love that my our class has become such great friends!

 

Thank you thank you to everyone who helped us out, bought special western wear and attended our rodeo!

It meant so much to the kids to have their parents as the spectators for their big events!

A BIG Thank You!

For the month of February, K2 came in third place in the entire school for the amount of Box Tops collected!  I am still shocked we didn’t win because we turned in 585 box tops!

Since we did so well, the PTO treated us to a surprise donut breakfast this morning!

 

The kids LOVED it!

I don’t know if they loved that they were eating warm, glazed donuts or if they were missing out on doing work for awhile! 

Either way, we enjoyed the special, yummy treat!

Field Trip Time!

Galatas Kindergarten was blessed to be invited to Good Shepherd Lutheran church for their ‘Mobil Dairy Unit’ presentation.  Since the church is right next door, we enjoyed some fresh air, while we walked over.

 

Farmer Larry brought his ‘pet’ cow, Missy.

He talked all about the benefits of milk, how cows make milk and everything a farmer has to do in their day.

He showed us how he milks Missy everyday!

Being a farmer looks like hard work!

We had a great time and are so thankful to have been invited!
