Kindergarten’s Creepy Crawlers Day was a blast!
Our day began with “Mrs. Spider” coming to read to us!
She didn’t fool K2 though, the kids knew right away it was Mrs. Lindsay!
After Mrs. Lindsay read to us, we went to a presentation by the “Ladybugs!” These women work at The Houston Museum of Natural Science and they brought a bunch of creepy crawlers for us to look at! They even let all the kids touch a few bugs!
Mark and Maddie touching a ‘leaf bug.’
Finnley was brave enough to touch the tarantula!
Evan got to pet the millipede!
Jordan and Nathan were excited to touch the hissing cockroach! Yuck!
That afternoon, we began the real creepy crawler fun! Every classroom had a fun activity planned for each class!
In Mrs. Humke’s room, we made creepy crawler creatures out of playdough!
In Mrs. Seaburg’s room, we played Pin The Wing on the Fly and Spider bean bag toss!
In Mrs. Bates’ room, we made awesome spider hats!
In Mrs. Garza’s room, we decorated ladybug cookies! They were delicious!
In Mrs. Cannon’s room, we listened to books about all different types of bugs!
Back in our room, we sang and danced around to all different creepy crawler music!
Thank you to all parents who made this day possible! I know everyone had a great time! We cannot wait for the next fun event in Kindergarten!
