In honor of Galatas’ “Pumpkin Day” this Monday, all of our kindergarteners visited a local church’s Pumpkin Patch!
We had a GREAT time!!
They had six stations set up for us. The first was a Storyteller.
She read two books: “Little Critter’s Halloween” and “Halloweiner.” We love both those books in K2!
Then, we went to the science station.
We observed different pumpkins,
measured them
and weighed them.
Third, we went to the craft station and made picture frames!
These turned out so cute! They will be perfect for Halloween pictures!
Then, we decorated pumpkin cookies!
Complete with bright orange icing, these were delicious!
Each student took home their own mini pumpkin!
They spent time decorating and perfecting their pumpkins!
They were so proud of their gorgeous creations!
(Gotta love a five year old’s photographing abilities!)
It just started to sprinkle when we decided to take our class pictures in the pumpkins!
I am so glad we took the pictures when we did because it started to rain shortly after!
Look how happy we all are! I love my job!!
For our last station, the kids were able to run off some of the cookie energy on the playground!
In the middle of our playtime, it really started to rain hard!
We made it to the bus as fast as we could, but still got a bit wet!
All in all, it was a fantastic field trip! We are so lucky to have these opportunities!
I need to say a BIG thank you to Amanda Burkett, Tracey Chapman and Andrea Etcharren for coming with us! You guys were a huge help!
