Then, the kids opened the present from me!  Lillie read the letter from me to the class!  They all got the book “Mooseltoe!”  It is such a funny book!  I hope everyone loves it!

Jason was the Puppy of The Week the week right before Christmas!  He did a great job, even though it was such a crazy week!

Jason told us all about each of his pictures.  He and Claire were excited to share that they played on the same soccer team!

Gingerbread Man Math

In keeping with the holiday spirit, we brought the Gingerbread Man into our math assignment this week!

 SDC15180

First, we all made predictions of how many marshmallows it would take to cover the perimeter of the Gingerbread Man.

SDC15181 SDC15182

Then, we laid out the marshmallows and counted them.

SDC15183 SDC15184

Next, we did the same thing with chocolate chips!

SDC15185 SDC15186 SDC15187

Finally, we got to eat the Gingerbread Men, marshmallows and the chocolate chips!

SDC15188 SDC15189 SDC15193SDC15190

We had a wonderful afternoon learning about guessing and checking, making predictions and the perimeter of different things.

SDC15191

Who ever said math isn’t fun!?!?

SDC15192

Thank you to Evan, his mom, Maddie and her mom for making the Gingerbread Man cookies for us!  They were delicious!

Puppy of The Week - Samantha

Last week, Samantha was our puppy of the week!  She was so proud all week!

 SDC15178

Samantha told me she has been waiting a long tome to be our wagon helper and our line leader!

SDC15179

She told us about all of her pictures!  She said she is a big Dallas Cowboys fan and loves going to the football games!

SNOW DAY!

I cannot believe it snowed all day, while we were at school!

Our morning started out normally, but at 9:00, during circle time, I looked out the window, saw the snow flurries and stopped what we were doing.  The kids quickly got their jackets on and we ran outside to play in the snow!

SDC15158

I wish the snow actually appeared in these pictures!  It it was really coming down hard!

SDC15127 SDC15130

Joey’s hair holds the proof that it was really snowing!

SDC15132 SDC15133 SDC15136

We played outside with all of Kindergarten, First and Second Grade!  Everyone was so thrilled to see snow in The Woodlands!

SDC15138 SDC15140

The Kindergarten teachers huddled together for a quick picture!

SDC15144 SDC15146 SDC15150  SDC15153

It got pretty cold after about 20 minutes!  I am so glad my kids wanted to bundle up together!  We helped keep each other warm!

SDC15152

We successfully caught a bunch of snowflakes!  Again, I cannot believe you can’t see the millions of flakes  in this picture!

SDC15161 SDC15163

WOW!  What a fun day!  I know we will never forget it!
