Perfect Time at the Pumpkin Patch!

In honor of Galatas’ “Pumpkin Day” this Monday, all of our kindergarteners visited a local church’s Pumpkin Patch!

We had a GREAT time!!

They had six stations set up for us.  The first was a Storyteller.

She read two books: “Little Critter’s Halloween” and “Halloweiner.”  We love both those books in K2!

It just started to sprinkle when we decided to take our class pictures in the pumpkins!

I am so glad we took the pictures when we did because it started to rain shortly after!

Look how happy we all are!  I love my job!!DSCN2112

For our last station, the kids were able to run off some of the cookie energy on the playground!

In the middle of our playtime, it really started to rain hard!

We made it to the bus as fast as we could, but still got a bit wet!

All in all, it was a fantastic field trip!  We are so lucky to have these opportunities!

I need to say a BIG thank you to Amanda Burkett, Tracey Chapman and Andrea Etcharren for coming with us!  You guys were a huge help!

Red Ribbon Week!

This has been a great week at Galatas!

We are standing up against drugs, wearing something everyday to show our pledge to be drug free!

Monday was “Teaming Up Against Drugs.”  We all wore team shirts!

 DSCN2046

My friend, Jack, in K3 wore his Cardinals jersey!  The nerve of him!

DSCN2047

On Tuesday, we all “Were On Top” and wore hats!  Every person in our class wore a hat!

DSCN2061

We also signed our names to a banner, pledging to stay drug free.  This banner was signed by every student at Galatas and will be hung in the front office.

Wednesday’s theme was “Standing Together Against Drugs.”  We all wore red!

I wore my Rangers shirt again, since they play again tonight!  I had to take a few pictures with these two baseball fans!

 DSCN2068

Nolan was actually named after Nolan Ryan!  I just love that, since he is one of my all time favorite players!

What a wonderful week it has been so far!  Thank you to everyone who is supporting us from home, dressing up your kids each day!

Storybook Parade!

I LOVE our annual Storybook Parade!  The kids are thrilled to see what the teachers dress up as.  Each grade level team typically picks a theme.  This year, the Kindergarten teachers were all different Miss Frizzles!
