K2 worked so hard on their 100 day projects!  I am so proud to display them in our hallway!

I cannot believe we have been in school for 100 days already!

Winter Work!

We have been BUSY, BUSY in K2, learning all about winter aimals by reading and reenacting Jan Brett’s book, The Mitten.

 

We celebrated Martin Luther King Jr Day and even made our own versions of MLK.

We talked a lot about snowmen (when it was 75 degrees)…

What do YOU think snowmen do at night?

After reading the book, of the same name, we came up with our own ideas…

They were all very clever and creative, but here are some great ones!

I am so proud of all the hard work the boys and girls have been doing!

The BFG!

This past Tuesday, we were lucky enough to head out on a field trip with all of Galatas to The Woodlands High School!

  

Their theater department put on a wonderful production of The BFG (The Big, Friendly Giant).

Everyone LOVED the play!

We all wondered how they made the Giant so tall!

The other monsters were a bit scary, but also pretty funny!

K2 would like to say a Big THANK YOU to the Galatas PTO for sending us on such a great field trip!

Holiday Party!

I don’t know who was worn out after our Holiday Party more – the kids or the teacher!

Either way, we all had a blast and thats all that matters!

 

They all worked so hard on their two songs and two poems!  I am always impressed with how quickly the memorize the words and hand motions!

Its hard to say which station was the favorite, they were all fun!

Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to the party!  It would not have been the same without all of our parents there!

Special Guest

One of my favorite parts of teaching is seeing my former students at school each day!  I love when they stop by my room to say hi, wave to me frantically in the cafeteria or (even better) come read to my class!

Today, Evan, came to read!  Evan was in my class last year.  He is Colleen’s older brother.

I was so proud of him!  He read two books to our whole class and they loved it!

I hope they want to come read for me next year!

Great job, Evan!  Thank you so so much!  Come back anytime!!!
